Reserving a time for a talk
To reserve a time for a talk and to advertise it, please contact the CS forum coordinator (csforum-cs-sci@aalto.fi). Please send the coordinator the following information (preferably a week before talk at the latest, so that there is time to advertise the talk):
the title of the talk,
the title, name, and affiliation of the speaker (and optionally biographical information about the speaker, and a photo of the speaker, if available),
the abstract of the talk (not obligatory but highly recommended for marketing purposes; otherwise add a note that no abstract will be provided),
the preferred time, place and duration of the talk
- possible further marketing material such as
- related web links,
- who the speaker is visiting at the department and whether the speaker will be available for discussion,
- which research groups might find the talk particularly interesting,
- which group of students might find the talk particularly interesting (e.g. talk related to a course), and
- whether the coordinator's assistance is needed for any practical arrangements (such as lecture hall reservations, hosting, or help with the presentation equipment)
Additional notes
- There is a laser pointer (and a portable microphone for lecture hall T1) available for loan at the CS building janitors' office.
- There is a USB port for the desktop computer (for memory sticks) on the desk of each of the main lecture halls.
